The Wonders of Nature on canvas

Mission Statement:

I paint for the inspiration that is seen, felt and heard through my inner and outer journey of creative expression. I love to share what I have gleaned by asking "How can I capture the feeling of nature, the love of language, and freedom of music on canvas"

A never ending adventure.

The New Brunswick Series

During our travels to New Brunswick along the coast of St Andrews, we witnessed the great tides in their rhythmic wonder. As a result, I brought the images to life again on canvas. There are several more. These are a few of my favourites

The Flow of Life

30 x 40" Acrylic

An unusual moment of seeing. Cross currents, under currents, leaves floating on the top of water that seemed to have so many dimensions it could not be seen all at once. It was only when I saw the photo of it that the magic of that moment was revealed in St Vincent that hot Caribbean day.

Tobermory

These paintings are based on a trip to the Bruce Peninsula on Lake Superior. We found this beautiful place just south of there called the Tobermory Grotto. We walked about 25 minutes through the forest to find this amazing vista of teal water and intricate rock formations. An unforgettable time captured on camera and later expressed on canvas.

Client & Artist Comments

Stuart Diamond

The proclivity and evolution of your work is stunning and impressive. Each work has growing depth with the interaction of abstraction wedded to it's concrete imagery to which it is connected. Thus it leads us into multiple dimensions. Rather Platonic I would say (A group of Seven)

"Terry has a gift for creating mesmerizing realms with color, texture and energy. One of his paintings vibrantly called to me on Facebook with such power that I knew I needed to have it in my healing studio as the dance of five elemental colors simply infuses "Life Force Essence" into me and my clients every day in such a rare way that illuminates the rare spirit and energy that binds us all as humans.

Client Comments continued

I stand in awe of Terry’s journey into painting.. His command of texture, colour and form continues to take quantum leaps with every passing month. There is a daring, combined with an innocence that make his paintings refreshing, and he is telling the story of his life though them.
